Solo Leveling never published an official character databook with confirmed measurements. Chugong did not release a fanbook with exact heights, weights, or birthdates the way some other manhwa creators have. Every number in this guide comes from one of three sources: values stated directly in the manhwa text, official game data from Solo Leveling: Arise, or community measurement projects that used consistent panel proportions across multiple chapters. Each entry is tagged so you know exactly how reliable it is.
Confirmed means the value appears directly in the manhwa, the novel, or official Netmarble game data. Estimated means the value comes from panel proportion analysis — reliable but not official. Approximate means the series gives a general range without a specific number.
Main Characters — Heights and Ages

The table below covers every named main character with their height, age at the start of the story, and the source reliability of each value.
| Character | Height | Age (Story Start) | Role | Reliability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sung Jin-woo | 179 cm / 5’10” (pre-awakening) | 24 | E-rank Hunter, later Shadow Monarch | Estimated |
| Sung Jin-woo (post-awakening) | 181 cm / 5’11” | 24–25 | Shadow Monarch | Estimated |
| Cha Hae-in | 168 cm / 5’6″ | 23 | S-rank Hunter, Hunters Guild Vice Master | Estimated |
| Yoo Jinho | 172 cm / 5’8″ | 22 | D-rank Hunter, Ahjin Guild Vice Chairman | Estimated |
| Go Gun-hee | 173 cm / 5’8″ | 70s | Korean Hunter’s Association Chairman | Estimated |
| Woo Jin-chul | 180 cm / 5’11” | Late 20s | Hunter’s Association Inspector, A-rank | Estimated |
| Sung Il-hwan | 181 cm / 5’11” | Late 40s | Rulers’ Vessel, Jin-woo’s father | Estimated |
| Sung Jin-ah | 158 cm / 5’2″ | 17–18 | Jin-woo’s younger sister | Estimated |
| Park Kyung-hye | 163 cm / 5’4″ | Late 40s | Jin-woo’s mother | Estimated |
| Lee Joohee | 162 cm / 5’4″ | Early 20s | C-rank Healer | Estimated |
Jin-woo’s height increase is one of the details most articles get wrong. The manhwa shows a clear visual change after his full Shadow Monarch awakening — his frame fills out and he appears noticeably taller in panels alongside characters whose proportions are fixed. The commonly cited 188 cm figure appears on several sites without any source. Panel analysis from multiple community projects puts the post-awakening estimate closer to 181 cm, consistent with a natural upper-range Korean male height rather than an unusual outlier.
Korean S-Rank Hunters — Heights and Ages

| Character | Height | Age | Guild | Reliability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Choi Jong-in | 183 cm / 6’0″ | Early 40s | Hunters Guild Master | Estimated |
| Baek Yoon-ho | 188 cm / 6’2″ | Late 30s | White Tiger Guild Master | Estimated |
| Cha Hae-in | 168 cm / 5’6″ | 23 | Hunters Guild Vice Master | Estimated |
| Lim Tae-gyu | 175 cm / 5’9″ | Mid 30s | Fiend Guild Master | Estimated |
| Ma Dong-wook | 185 cm / 6’1″ | Late 30s | Fame Guild Master | Estimated |
| Min Byung-gyu | 170 cm / 5’7″ | Late 20s | Independent Healer | Estimated |
| Woo Jin-chul | 180 cm / 5’11” | Late 20s | Hunter’s Association | Estimated |
Baek Yoon-ho is consistently depicted as one of the physically largest Korean hunters — his bear-type awakening affects his build visibly in transformation scenes. His estimated height reflects this. Choi Jong-in, the Hunters Guild master, reads shorter in panels than Baek despite being slightly taller in most community estimates — his body type is lean rather than broad, which creates a visual discrepancy.
National Level Hunters — Heights and Ages

| Character | Height | Age | Country | Reliability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Thomas Andre | 196 cm / 6’5″ | Late 30s | USA — Scavenger Guild Master | Estimated |
| Liu Zhigang | 185–188 cm / 6’1″–6’2″ | Early 40s | China — Qilin Guild Master | Estimated |
| Christopher Reed | 183 cm / 6’0″ | Late 20s | USA — Fame Guild Master | Estimated |
| Siddharth Bachchan | 180 cm / 5’11” | Mid 30s | India | Estimated |
| Goto Ryuji | 182 cm / 5’12” | Early 30s | Japan — Monarchs Guild | Estimated |
Thomas Andre is the tallest confirmed human character in the manhwa. His height is one of the few estimates with strong panel consistency — he towers visibly above every other character he appears alongside, including Korean S-ranks who are themselves large. The 196 cm estimate appears across multiple independent measurement projects and is the most reliable figure for any character in this section.
Liu Zhigang has the widest range in community estimates because his panels vary slightly in proportion depending on who he is standing next to. The 185–188 cm range reflects that variance rather than a single definitive number.
Shadow Soldiers — Heights

Shadow soldiers retain the physical form they had in life, which means their height is tied to their origin. The table below lists the named shadow soldiers with their estimated heights in their shadow form.
| Shadow | Origin | Height (Shadow Form) | Reliability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bellion | Ashborn’s original Grand Marshal | 220+ cm / 7’2″+ | Estimated — depicted as significantly larger than human characters |
| Beru | Ant King of Jeju Island | 200+ cm / 6’7″+ in ant form; human form shorter | Estimated |
| Igris | Blood-Red Commander | 195 cm / 6’5″ in armour | Estimated |
| Tusk | High Orc Shaman Kargalgan | 230+ cm / 7’6″+ | Estimated — depicted as exceptionally large |
| Kaisel | Baran’s wyvern | Colossal — used as a mount by Jin-woo | N/A |
| Iron | Kim Chul, A-rank hunter | 175 cm / 5’9″ | Estimated |
Beru’s size is one of the more interesting details in the series. In his ant form he is enormous — well above human scale. When he adopts a more humanoid appearance in later chapters, his frame is significantly smaller, closer to a large human. The manhwa uses both forms at different points and their proportions are not fully consistent across all panels.
Monarchs — Heights

Monarchs appear in human vessels for most of the series, making their true form heights difficult to measure. The estimates below reflect their appearance in human form or their most commonly depicted physical scale.
| Monarch | Human Form Height | True Form | Reliability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Antares | 190+ cm / 6’3″+ | Colossal dragon — sky-scale | Estimated |
| Rakan | 210+ cm / 6’11″+ | Beast form — larger than buildings | Estimated |
| Sillad | 185 cm / 6’1″ | Frost giant form — much larger | Estimated |
| Querehsha | 165 cm / 5’5″ | Insect form — varies | Estimated |
| Legia | True form — giant humanoid, 15m+ | No human vessel | N/A |
Antares is visually the most imposing human-form Monarch. His true dragon form is explicitly described as large enough to cover cities — the manhwa does not give a specific size and the scale shifts between panels depending on dramatic context.
Ragnarok Characters — Heights and Ages

| Character | Height | Age | Role | Reliability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sung Su-ho | 179 cm / 5’10” | 19–20 | Jin-woo and Hae-in’s son, new Shadow Monarch | Estimated |
Su-ho is depicted as physically similar to his father in build and height during his academy years. His exact measurements are not given in Ragnarok — the 179 cm estimate is based on panel comparisons with characters carried over from the original series whose proportions are established.
Why Are So Many Heights Estimated?
Chugong never released an official character databook for Solo Leveling. This makes every height figure in circulation a community estimate unless it appears in official game data.
Most manhwa from major Korean publishers include an official character profile book released alongside or after the series completes. Solo Leveling does not have one. Dubu, the illustrator, passed away in July 2022 before any official measurements were compiled in publishable form. The heights that appear on most sites trace back to fan measurement projects using panel proportions, which are reliable in relative terms — we know Thomas Andre is much taller than Jin-woo — but cannot be treated as exact official figures.
Solo Leveling: Arise provides some character model data that serves as a secondary reference, but the game models are stylised rather than precise, and not every character appears in the game.
The most trustworthy approach for any specific character is to treat the estimates as accurate to within 2–3 cm and use them for comparative purposes rather than as exact canon measurements. The relative differences — who is taller than whom, how much, and what that communicates about their character — are consistent and reliable across all source types.
